Earth System Science (ESS)

Scientists have established a field of science called Earth System Science to understand how our planet works, what changes are happening now, and what changes are likely to happen in the future. Earth system scientists combine the tools and knowledge from many scientific disciplines including geology, biology, chemistry, physics and computer science.
